I just completed my second mask making workshop, this time in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was held at one of the area's vibrant galleries and performance spaces, The Studio@620. My good art buddy and community liason at the Studio, Coralette was in attendance, which I was happy about. She is a great local printmaker and I was looking forward to seeing what she would come up with. Below is the flyer I shared featuring my latest mask which I really like. It incorporates reclaimed leather from pants, t-shirt fringe, and my hand formed ceramic beads. So far, I have completed two palm tree bark masks. I really like them both! Incorporating found objects, fabrics, and my own ceramic beads give them a lovely texture.
